Relating to what has been called 9-11, emotions are expected to flair, and not always in a desired direction. Should our assailants be put to slow, merciless death? It would feel good to be the one turning the screws, but it still would not be right.
Collateral damage to hearth and home in our verbal assaults on the world at large are to be expected -- where the only true defense is a solemn apology. And where our assaults turn to heavy armor and death-dealing weaponry, even our finest apologies would fall miserably short.
Caution should always rule the day.
