Re: How about something from the good humor guy . . . ?

Actually, I can see the humor in the statement, but I can also see the blatant idiocy of Baldwin. Sure, maybe it was just a "joke," but judgement he used in the telling was absolutely childish.

An entertainer (note that this is Baldwin's true profession -- not like he has a "real" job or anything) needs to consider his audience at all times. At ALL times. In a restaurant, in his car, out back barbecuing chicken, at the beach, at the local K-Mart... Always.

Was he in a restaurant?

Was he in his car?

Was he out back barbecuing chicken?

Was he at the beach?

Was he at the local K-Mart?

No to all the above. He was not with neighbors and friends, nor was he speaking privately with a passerby. No, this man was on a NATIONALLY TELEVISED PROGRAM. He literally told the world to attack, not just a man for his opinions, but a man, his wife, and his children -- all for his opinion. Not only that, but he apparently chanted it (I say apparently, because I despise the hack's show, and so I never watch it).

In effect, the esteemed Alec Baldwin issued a fatwa to the world, one calling for the stoning-death of Hyde and his family -- actually giving a public call to citizens to carry out this nefarious crime.

Baldwin.

Just another oversized, better-than-anyone-else kid, with a fat head in a man’s body, struggling through the rigors of trying to grow up in an enchanted Hollywood environment. One day the real world will step in on him -- and I’ll bet he won’t even recognize it.

And, for Lindy, I do agree. Liberals do think different than conservatives. The only real trouble I have with the defense-logic is that Alec Baldwin continually displays a talent for not thinking at all.
