<Suppose someone said
"Bush inherited the world's strongest economy" - demonstrably true. Followed by,
"Shortly after Bush took office the US economy entered a recession". According to sources like Greenspan and others, true.
It takes a bit of thinking to realize no one said there was a cause and effect.
Cute, but no one is buying your "moi?" act. Let's try another example: A guy stands up in Alabama in 1960 and says two things, one right after the other:
"A black guy moved into town last month."
"The bank was robbed a week ago, and some cars were vandalized."
Two completely true statements, with nothing to imply causality. Yeah, right. You know what he's saying, he knows what he's saying, and the townspeople listening know what he's saying.
The Democratic Party, in its desperation to wreck Bush, tried to blame the recession on the Bush budget and the tax cuts, an obvious impossibility since they hadn't occurred yet. Dancing so fast you could barely see their feet, the Democrats then blamed the recession on the ANTICIPATION of the tax cuts. This fell apart too, so they are moving into the familiar waters of Republicans Destroying Social Security. This is where the Democrats drag the elderly out by the chains they forged for them, and display them long enough to win an election before dumping them back where they came from.
Note also that the homeless, which somehow vanished for eight years, are back. Watch for them too.
