Fascinating!

"The Jews were criticized - - - "

Now, pray tell, who on this Board does this besides me, in any meaningful manner, besides saying sort of "Well, I know the Jews, but - - -? Geez, this Board believes that 12 year old Palestinian kid out in no-man's-land wasn't shot by Israelis. Who criticizes Israelis besides me.

"It easily could have been a live version of a discussion on this board and I was again reminded of our good fortune to have assembled here a really excellent group."

What??!! A completely pro-Israeli whitewash is your version of a balanced discussion, apparently. Again, without me, this would be a moral crucifixion of the Palestinians. To the bigot, however, a "balanced" discussion is any discourse which doesn't close with "Let's lynch 'em." In that case, these are balanced.

"The only thing that was missing from the TV group was a cynical pedant whose primary contribution would be to remind everyone else of his own elevation to a higher plane of existence and their pitiful lack of sufficient understanding to discuss the matter at hand."

And because I know there is a way to see existence besides an absolute right and wrong, or good and bad, because I realize that in their own ways all people seek the same thing, you believe I am on a higher plane of existence. Because I know that people don't blow themselves up for the fun of it, because I know that Armies don't shoot civilians unless they are frustrated beyond belief, and that when everyone is wrong no one is right, because I know that, you believe I'm superior to you?

While I'm inclined to defer to your better judgement, I'll have to deny that. I will say that as one has seen more of life that when everyone is looking left someone should be looking right, that when humans are involved while I may not agree with them there is a reason for every actions. (Not politically. No one ever need look right, politically.)

Whoever said you were completely bigotted, and that when your mind was wide open the apeture was still completely closed, is wrong. Well, maybe just a little.
