<Carter Says He Was Told U.S. Had No Proof Cuba Shared Bioweapons Data, State Dept. Official's Claim Contradicted

I don’t know what Castro is doing, though the pattern of these claims by the Bushies seems to be yer basic, standard pandering to the Cuban-Americans.

However, who are you going to believe? The detail-oriented, nothing too small to escape his attention Carter, or that the Bushies set him up? Do you think Carter is going to head off to Cuba loudly claiming the briefers told him something they didn't? Of all the things he could make up, he'd make up that one?

Or that the technical folks, the briefers, know Castro isn’t all that busy spreading chemo and/or bio weapons around, but the politicians don’t think that sounds as good as to attack him?

Not a real challenge here.
