He deserved a better briefing and administration's handling of the matter appears stupid. Overall and under the circumstances Carter seems to have handle himself well. I agree that the silly embargo should be ended. Particularly since this administration can't seem to decide if it is fish or fowl.
I thought Carter was a lousy President. I had a friend in Treasury who guarded him for a while and according to him he is personally a jerk as well.
I knew Billy in a nodding way and he was not his biggest fan either. :)
