Step 1 - stop the terrorist attacks against Israel
The Israeli Army is there because of the attacks. If the attacks stop, then they'll have to stop the incursions into Palestinean territory. By way of analogy, if terrorists were slipping across the Mexican border and attacking US cities, don't be naive enough to believe we wouldn't do the same thing Israel is doing. We did it in 1915, we'd do it again if necessary.
