Well

>>>He's just asking what might be your source.

I never claimed Hussein had nothing to do with it. It is funny how Larry likes to put words in my mouth and then have an arguement with them. I don't see how you got caught up in it though, Dan.

All I was pointing out was that to use it as a reason to go to war, you need to show the connection. Challenging others to prove there is no connection (like Larry and Scott and now you seem to demand) is logic straight from Alice in Wonderland, or the UAC. You can't prove a negative like this. It's a logical impossibility. It's stupid to ask for one. As an example: how would you go about proving that you had nothing to do with 9/11? Would you be able to produce the contents of all of your correspondence? If so, how would you prove that it was *all* of your correspondence? Etc.

I will say that the fact that no intellegence source has shown any connection (while trying very very hard) is an indication that there was no collusion. But that's not the proof that Larry craves.

Further, to answer Scott's post where he shows how highly likely the collusion is (I really thought this was too silly to respond to when I read it yesterday. But you guys just don't seem to get the point): there are a lot of other ways to assign these probabilities. The fact that OBL seems not to favor a secular govt would indicate that he would view Hussein as a potential enemy. This might bring the probability to close to 0. The fact that Hussein did not have anything that OBL lacked to carry out the plan, might, to someone with a clear view, indicate that OBL did not "ask for help".

Still, all this works towards a doomed attempt to prove the negative. It's a silly argument to let yourself be pulled into.

Now back to what I did say: people who believe someone committed a great crime without any evidence that this is true are stupid (and they don't understand basic American civics). Further: leaders of a great country who mount campaigns to get people to believe things like this are not great leaders.
