<it's dead around here
I sense a general fatigue when it comes to the question of US-Iraqi relations. There's another board I frequent, much more left of center, where the last couple of weeks it's been like watching a windup toy straining to take it's last little surge forward.
I'm chalking it up to a calm before the storm, but it think people on both sides of the issue are pausing to wonder why they should continue to smack the wall with their forehead.
The left is the left, the right is the right, and Never the Twain Shall Meet.
It seems to be getting to the point that only the fanatical, the desperate and the insane are still keyed-up for this discussion.
