It really isn't about correct facts and incorrect facts nowadays. It's about "good" facts and "bad" facts. Or as Thomas Sowell said today, "I think that we’re raising whole generations who regard facts as more or less optional."

Jeb Bush? I haven't given the Republican candidate much thought. In fact, hardly any. Given the vagaries of primaries and the ease with which a single flub can destroy a political track, it's a complete crapshoot. Look at how the French election just changed overnight. It's 18 months to ours, and it doesn't take a lot of brains to see that right now the candidate dog-and-pony show is primarily serving as a media distraction from how the current president is actually handling things.

California primary rules have been shifted somewhat. I haven't looked to see if it's an improvement or not. I will select a favorite from what I'm offered based on fundamental principles, character, leadership skills, and other things that are out of vogue with political experts nowadays. I hope someone like that makes the finals. I wish to God we lived in a limited-government system where we were voting for a chief executive, not an emperor.
