No. It doesn't. And I have never called you a communist. Please put the goalposts down and let them sit in one spot for a few minutes so I can catch my breath.
My two statements are not inconsistent, but then my political scale is not a Mobeius strip either - a scale where there are moderates and right-wing extremists, but apparently no real leftists at all. Ted Rall, the person this thread was originally about, is a far leftist. Look up some of his stuff.
I also know what "real communists" are like. I used to talk to them on university campuses, and not that long ago. They're still there, often teaching our young people. If you sat one of them down in a room with Nancy Pelosi, and let them talk without cameras around, there's not one damn major economic or foreign policy issue they'd disagree on. Well, the Marxist would want to own the oil companies and financial industry. Nancy would just want total control over them. Big difference.
Keep in mind that the Left in this country, which has included a lot of well-known and influential people, spent the entire Cold War siding with every communist thug that raised his head around the world. No exceptions. You could predict how they would feel about a nation by simply asking, "are their leaders pro- or anti-communist?" Nothing else, including how those nations treated their people, seemed to make any difference. I'm 57 years old. I was there.
