That's such an odd thing to say. Is the Canadian healthcare system, which provides high quality care to everyone who wants to participate, an exercise in mediocrity? Or rather maybe an expression of shared support?
I know, some Americans want desperately to believe that the Canadian system is second-rate and failing, but I've seen both systems up close and personal and the Canadian system is as good as its American counterpart. As for failing, well people have been predicting its imminent demise for decades, yet it continues to provide excellent care. The conservative wish that it would just go away remains nothing more than an insult to the Canadian people.
