I wish to God all the statist agendas I worry about were flopping and gasping on the beach like abortion and gay marriage laws. How many of us are seriously concerned that in ten years abortion and gay marriage will be illegal? The legal and cultural vectors in those cases are clear, and have been moving in only one direction for years now.
When you think about it, that pretty much exhausts the repertoire of real-world conservative statism, doesn't it? Guess who wants to control almost everything else.
