Wait a minute. Is it just things like land ownership that bug you? If you owned, say, a boat that you'd paid for, it would be something completely different? I'm just trying to figure this out.
By the way, there was no "Cato Institution" in Rome. The modern Cato Institute is named after Cato's Letters, a series of writings from a couple of Brits in the early 1700s.
