Nothing at all against immigrants, particularly the legal ones. Just pulling one demographic out to point out how large America's numbers are compared to Canada.

Constitutionally, states should be able to do anything they damn please as far as a health care program goes. I would certainly not be happy if California went to socialized health care, and I would vote against it if I was given any say in the matter, but it would be constitutionally legitimate. Vermont seems to be working toward this. We'll see what happens.

People forget how much government health care America already has. It's one of the things breaking the bank. Our deficit this year is $1.6 trillion. We spent 1.6 times more on Medicare alone in 2010 than the entire federal budget of Canada for that year.
