" don't consider what happened yesterday murder"
I don't: "kill a hogshead of Iraqi people, military and civilian, to remove him " is what I said. Did not use murder.
" We are trying very hard not to kill any Civilians"
Never-the-less, a lot of civilians WILL die under ANY accounting in a war, correct? True or false?
"It is your kind of reaction to the death of civilians that Saddam feeds on. It is your kind of action that he hopes will save him, and why he is willing to kill more of his own."
I would gladly shoot saddam in the head, and I think that is not empty rhetoric. I do not conscience the killing of hundreds of Iraqis in order to line up that one shot.(military OR civilian, as the military must fight or be shot by their own commanders)
"These people died at Saddam’s hand, not the US."
No, if an american bomb or bullet finds them, WE killed them. Lits not do the moral two-step here. Lets at least be honest.
"We do owe it to these people to free them from Saddam. It is a promise we made 12 years ago. "
I leave it to the Iraqis to define what we owe and how we pay them. Maybe thats just odd, but I tend to think of it as freedom, even if their choice is poor.
