No one is happy when civilians die and no one is happy about it. No one thinks it's ok. But even when coalition soldiers are extremely careful, it's an inevitable outcome due to the very dangerous conditions created by the terror tactics employed by Saddam's hard core followers.
The point is that these unintentional civilian deaths are being exploited by Saddam's regime, and by a largely sympathetic Al Jazeera, to dangerously inflame public opinion in the Middle-East. And the far, far greater number of civilian deaths attributable to Saddam and his thugs are being ignored, or at the very least downplayed, by the same press.
It just makes you wonder why. Al Jazeera could never admit to themselves that perhaps an American led liberation of Iraq could in fact lead to a new progressive government that benefits the Iraqi people far more than the current one.
