Even thinking of making a joke about incidents like that is sick. Doing so is worse.
The van came to a checkpoint with heavily armed soldiers.
There were no signs in Arabic so they might have been able to understand what was wanted of them, or what was going on. ("Oops, I guess we forgot the natives don't read English")
They used f***ing heavy calibre explosive ammunition to shred the van and it's occupants to bits. No shooting out the tires, no spike belts placed beforehand, no barbed wide or barricades. Just blast if they don't stop.
I woldn't have wanted to be those soldiers before the incident, but even less so after. War is hell, but there has to be some kind of limit.
And how would you feel if people started making jokes about those marines a few days ago that spen AN HOUR AND A HALF shooting at each other before they figured out waht was goig on? Now there is fertile ground for humour!
Go away.
