Actually, I'll admit I over-reacted.
But SOMEONE commited a wrongful act, whether it was the guys pulling the trigger, their CO who organized the checkpoint, Franks, Rumsfeld, Bush. The buck gets passed until no-one knows where it is anymore.
Blowing the crap out of a van full of women and children is a wrongful act. Period.
After the "friendly fire" incident in Afghanistan where US pilots bombed and killed Canadian troops, I have my doubts about the judgement of some of the people on the front lines. Nobody is perfect (though a few think they are) and just because someone is in a war situation doesn't mean that they can just do anything with no consequences.
Obviously I wasn't at that checkpoint, but I think the circumstances are such that it needs to be investigated further.
