"However, he was a huge failure on foreign policy and that is the field under discussion here. Carter was an all around failure."
Carter brokered a peace between egypt and Israel that lasts to this day. If Sadat had not been slain, the middle east might be a different story.
Clinton came closer than any president before to resolving the palestinian issue, only the reptilian nature of the PLO prevented him. More progress was made at the close of his presidency, then Bush dropped both sides cold, which helped the current intifada take place (that and our dear ally Sharon).
Additionally, Clinton re-defined NATO and diffused one of the worst situations in europe sine WWI.
All Bias aside, all thoughts of yes-we-did-but-should-we-have set aside, Carter and Clinton were very effective on the foreign arena. Where Clinton failed was, as per usual, in arrogance and grandeur- he sought to do more than I think was possible.
As to the rest of your post- well, yes, it is willful killing of the innocent. We know that no matter HOW hard we try, there WILL be civilian casualties, and we know that the BULK of the Iraqi armed forces are draftees fighiting at bayonette point from behind. They are innocent, Ther did die and continue to do so. We executed this war and made these decision. Don't play moral hide-and-go-seek. That may work on dolts, but not on me.
