"Excuse me, but I don't think anyone said that a direct Iraqi connection to 9/11 would be essential to establish the Iraq-Al-Quaeda link."
No, but in this thread REB (I think) is pushing a Saddam-Sept11 connection.
"I think it would be sufficient to establish a connection between Iraq, and its known capacity for manufacturing WMD, and Al-Quaeda, an organization already known for wanting to kill large numbers of Americans."
Yes, but you have to prove that a real connection exists. The only connection I see is that al-qaeda-linked-people (a very vague category) may have been in Iraq (and may is operative) and may have met with Saddam-linked-people.
You may indeed have a case, it is possible! But a great many things are possible and even expected/suspected that don't pan out- ever do Empirical Science? If I had a dollar for every hunch that turned out to be crap, I wouldn't have needed to work for my degree- I could have gone directly to retirement (I did my theisis in Experimental Cognitive Psychology & computational simulation of induced cognitive models... Thats where empirical science comes in to my logic background)
My point is, Tom, You are crowing about fact when all you have is some mighty thin stuff, and it seems thinner every time I look at it.
Its like the difference between creme and bullshit. One just gets thinner as it gets worked around....
