Strange Graphical Interpretation

You don't read graphs very well if you can't see the difference between the 90's and the 80s. I went over in detail the extent and the rational for the difference. Your flippant reply gives no indication of any thoughtful review.

I don't advocate crippling the rich with massive taxes and neither do the Democrats. Their Big Mouth Hollywood friends might dislike that. What I agree with the Democrats on is that the income gap is growing and that Republican policies have primarily benefited the wealthy. Their trickle down theory does not hold up.

Your reply does not address the inaccuracy of starting a tracking period during a recession either. You most certainly did not show the poor benefited from anything other than an economic turn around. The long term statistics clearly show no gain. I did mention one real gain that the data did not show. Sustained lower unemployment rates during the 90's.

Of course people switch categories over time. People get promoted and a new generation enters the work force. This is not a surprise nor does it have any real relevance.

Thanks for the data and links. I don't have any readily available. I'm going on memory from my attempts to time the market by following the economic data closely over the last 15 years. I have played an active part in my 401K plan and a small inheritance set aside for my kids college. I would benefit from both dividend and capital gains tax cuts, but I believe strongly that this country's strength rises in proportion to its equality of opportunity. It's a matter of efficiency. The strongest economy is the most efficient one. The most efficient economy is one where everyone has the ability to put their talents to good use. I firmly hope we remain the strongest power on Earth, but know we face potential challengers particularly if we squander our strengths.

Mark
