That social security is owned by the Democrats is one of those really big lies.
I want to see a Republican get elected (anywhere, in a district containing any percentage of Republican voters) on a platform of doing away with social security. In fact, I'd be quite surprised if you could get a majority of Republicans to vote for such a candidate.
