I start out with an article showing how entitlements are the major anchor sinking our economy in the coming decades, and allow myself to get deflected into a class warfare routine. I, of all people, should know better. Yeah, executive salaries have been an issue in the past, usually around election time when the Democrats play the class warfare card. "Yeah! You're out of a job because Michael Eisner is rich!" Coming from bloated parasites like Ted Kennedy, this is a real riot.
Frankly, I don't give a shit what some tycoon is pulling down. He's not taking one nickel out of my check, and most of what he makes is going to wind up being pumped into the tax coffers anyway for the liberal politicians to throw out their limousine windows as they cruise the town.
I understand it's a lot more comforting to imagine that economic problems are the result of some fatass plutocrat running his ducats through his fingers instead of confronting the highly unpleasant truth that our economy could be crushed by that little old lady down the street getting the medical care she needs. Sure feels a whole lot better imagining looting Ebenezer Scrooge's coffers to make the books balance instead of Granny Higgins' little coin purse.
