Think about it Tom. All money changes hands. Those that control its flow can more easily skim extra for themselves. Does that make it theirs? You simply refuse to deal with the corruption and incompetant management issues that so upset me as a horrible corruption of what capitalism is supposed to be. It is horrible because it greatly reduces the benefit of capitalism to all by unjustly concentrating its benefits on a minority out of proportion to their contribution to the economy.
The only justification in an egalitarian society for unequal economic status is that such status benefits all. When the inequality passes the bounds of usefullness and actually degrades the efficiency of our economic system it clearly is morally wrong not to mention against the nation's economic interest.
Frankly Tom, for all your capitalistic rhetoric I see little evidence you truly understand its most important feature of economic reward for performance. Economic reward derived simply from an established position of economic privilege is just as economically and morally bankrupt as Feudalism and Communism.
Your attempts to paint all my comments as simply anti-rich are nonsense. I fully intend to be rich one day. It is almost certain if I live long enough for an inheritance, but I plan to do it myself. I'm probably a lot closer to it than most here my age do to my own efforts and work. If you are closer than me despite working for a string of failed companies when I have had a lot of success increasing real profits and efficiency, that in itself implies something is wrong with our system. I don't intend however to use any wealth to keep adding to it while screwing everyone else.
Regards,
Mark
