Go back and read the article, and the original paper. It isn't about soaking the rich anymore. There aren't enough of them. The sixty percent tax increases are ACROSS THE BOARD. The employment tax increases are on EVERYBODY.
Confiscating every nickel of every billionaire in America (about $700 billion all together) would cover the Federal wealth redistribution for a grand total of six months. If you expand that to every high net worth individual (anyone worth over $1 million, including homes and other assets), adding up to a total worth of about $7.6 trillion, and confiscating EVERY LAST NICKEL of it, you could pay for the Federal mandatory spending programs up to about 2009.
Okay, you have now killed and eaten every single rich person in America.
Now what?
The people telling you the "rich" are the problem are lying to you. This idea is to keep you and the middle class from finding out that it's THEIR heads on the chopping block. Try asking one of them to tell you exactly where the line is drawn for "rich."
