re: Star Trek and technological abundance
Where does the cost of labor come in?
Putting a number amount on labor will never go out of fashion. Neither will what we've come to know as charging. If I remember right, in the Star Trek world workers earned and kept track of credits earned. It will always remain the best way to avoid excess and waste.... supply and demand perfected in a technologically abundant universe. *g*
Ferengis are not to be likened to Republicans (evil grin to Robert), they're more like a greedy bunch of junk collectors... it's their nature and they prefer to make a living at it.
