re: Marxism

The only real Marxism debate you missed was this one...

You'll find it's pointless to point out capitalism under attack - and even when you shatter their false impressions and prove their are more Marxists than they imagine - it ends up as merely inconsequential. Imagine if a rightist said the Ku klux Klans efforts are inconsequential. Now imagine the Klan was teaching college courses! Or Nazis? What if they were teaching philosophy? After All Hitler wrote an awful and influential book too - not just Marx. Mein Kampf as required reading in a philosophy class would bring howls, yet reading Marx is handy-dandy. No idiosyncrasies here!

Of course Marxism in the schools has an influence - not on all, or even a majority, but it influences a select few of folks predisposed to an escape mechanism whereby they can justify their own financial situation and hate the rich at the same time.

You can't become a Marxist without class envy. You can't have class envy unless you have jealousy. The whole Marxist philosophy depends upon man's jealousy of his neighbor's wealth and possessions. The rest is just a fallacious justification for a "loot the rich and give to me" program.
