So the reason we can't find them at all in nearly 5 months of trying is that they were hidden and impossible to find. But supposedly, we had perfect war-worthy intelligence of their existence, and Bush, Rumsfeld and Powell made specific mention that we knew where they were, and how much existed of what types.

So when it serves to justify a war you are in favor of, the intelligence is flawless (that we know where they are, and are certain enough that we see a threat requiring pre-emptive strike). When it serves to pardon lapses you don't want to see, the intelligence can only be, at best, imprecise and fuzzy (that we don't know where they are, <irony>whoops! they're hidden Pooh Bear!!</irony>).

But they do exist, right? despite complete lack of physical evidence, they exist- right? And we know they exist and that they were a threat to our nation... And knew enough to launch a war... But now we can't find them...

Or maybe some people in this country just wanted to see some folks get the Sh!+ kicked out of them in exchange for 9/11, and some Abrams rolling against some identified bad guys? And as long as the looked and talked (as far as we can tell) like the folks that did it, maybe these same people didn't care about reasonable and just cause?

A convinient neck, a convinient rope and a convinient tree? Times a few thousand? Wouldn't be the first time in history, won't be the last, but its still murder, and we still have blood on our hands.

Those that did the lynchings in the south loved their children too, thought of themselves as good folks, might have thought they were doing the right thing at the time, might have been duped by a charasmantic leader... Etc... But they still did murder on their fellow man, they still were murderers.
