A few numbers...
Despite the best attempts of some people to blur the concepts involved, there is a distinct difference between deaths as a result of war and deliberate murder of civilians by official policy outside of any war. The latter is defined as "democide" by a source I use.
Socialist/communist regimes have murdered on the order of 100 million people, not counting any war deaths.
