Was WWII a debacle for America?
By your 'standards' it must have been since the Marshall Plan had to be cobbled together to stop America from losing the peace to the USSR.
The MArshall Plan was plan B, not even considered prior to theendo of the war.
And to call the victory over Iraq militarily a debacle is to close ones eyes to the facts of one of the most successful military campaigns ever.
That the occupation ahs proven more challenging than hoped is not equal to debacle either.
The only debacle seems to be for those who have sour graped this from the beginning and have spent so much bandwidth trying to rewrite the history of the Iraq situaiton.....like you, Don.
