Good grief.

I see my first response went in one ear and out the other.

I honestly can't understand how you think.

Your entire post is a complete fantasy.

If I may reiterate my earlier post:

Where do you get the slightest idea that bringing UN forces in on this will suddenly make the people currently blowing up Americans, Iraqis, and, for the record, UN personnel, change their ways? Do you think the forces currently attempting to destabilize Iraq are going to be the slightest bit impressed by a "global face?" They're blowing up Iraqis, for God's sake. Why would blue helmets change a single thing?

On the other hand, if you are cynical enough to think that it's better that non-Americans get killed, I suppose that's a motivation.

And of course you go further and say that if we had had UN support going in in the first place, for some unfathomable reason we would not be having exactly the same problems we have now. In fact, with the UN in there looting the funds and arranging to fill their own pockets with Iraqi oil money--the main reason they opposed the war in the first place--there would probably be even more problems.

If I could suddenly and magically replace coalition forces with UN troops, right back at the beginning, how would the war have gone differently? Would the electricity be on with UN forces fixing the wires? Would the attacks end? Would those Iraqis currently shouting for the U.S. to get out, suddenly welcome forces from other outside nations?

What America really needs is a little financial help. We got quite a bit of it in Gulf War One, but are getting squat right now.

Oh, in case you need your nose rubbed in it, the UN is in on the Afghanistan effort. How's that going?
