If I thought Don, and the others I argue with here, were idiots, I wouldn't be wasting my time posting arguments. There are plenty of other places on the Web where the leftist idiots hang out. I don't.
In any case, even arguing with someone you know you won't convince can still make things clear to others who are following the argument from outside it. It's not wasted effort. And arguing with intelligent people helps you clarify things in your own mind as well.
This isn't wasting time. It's weight-lifting for the brain!
