The problem is all our posts work in the threads they were written. Some stand by themselves others require context. The best thing to dom would be to create a book like:
Corner of the Internet: The Habitable Zone
or perhaps,
Can't kick the Habit: Habitable Zone Debates 1997-2003
Present some of the threads to an agent and see what they think. Any profits could be split by the HZ members. After that, a certain amount of exposure would easily give a launching pad to several writing careers.
The book could have chapters on Space (instant reaction to the shuttle disaster, Mars stuff, cosmology, etc.), Politics (election threads, classic liberal/conservative debates, etc.) Miscellaneous stuff (Weird, touching, etc.)
It would make an interesting read and become something of an underground classic I suspect.
