Like all true believers you cannot prove anything you say. All you are doing is picking vague examples and then trying to avoid the burden of proof. Your systems has never ever worked in the history of civilisation. It's not up to us to prove anything, you have to make some effort using Aristotelian logic not some form of "realisation" that your position has any merit. Many try to get that benefit of doubt as a figleaf to run the lootocracy there now is. It's interesting where all this will end up. I always think of the analogy of the Titanic and the Republicans are trying to argure that the holes will let the water run out, and we should make some more holes.
I have a scale of where the US is probably headed, called the BAS scale, or Brazil-Argentina-Somalia. At some point when the idiocy and nonsense of the current economic policies is reversed the economy should end up somewhere on there. Currently it's hovering around Argentina. With luck someone like Dean might get it to Brazil because in all scenarios there is too much debt and trade imbalance. Krugman seems to believe it is too late as well to get back to the economy of 2000, even by 2008.
I can't help thinking this is the same economy of 1991 caused by the same nonsense economics. As to Europe their standard of living supports a much larger welfare system, universal health care, and still has a comparable middle class, and no unmanageable debt.
