That paper went right into my bookmarks. Thanks for the link! Obviously, the same concept could be easily scaled up for a larger probe that did more science, with the bottlenecks being launch vehicles and transfer propellants. Doubtless the people writing the paper were trying to sell the cheapest possible mission that could accomplish something useful.

Next challenge: a rover!
