What a bizarre analysis. From my personal experience, many of the assertions you make are simply not borne out and others given a needlessly negative spin.
Capitalism is about opportunity, SM. But it's unlikely anyone is going to hand you the keys to the kingdom. If you'll forgive a sports metaphor, you need at least a minimal ability to keep your eye on the ball and get yourself into the play. And even then, sometimes you'll get decked before you have a chance to carry. Lie there and bemoan the unfairness of it all, or get back up and give it another go...your choice.
Most of us have faced some measure of difficulty at times in our professional lives. Capitalism isn't your enemy at such times...far from it, it's what'll afford you the opportunity to make the changes you need to make to get things back on track...or to change track, as the case may be.
