SM has lots of well argumented good points.
Capitalism isn't always the panacea.
And it's true when there are lots of intermediaries between the Boss and yourself, there's a communication problem. Especially when many are on vacation like during this time of the year. Those who get the client on the phone and understand they're asked to allow something they're not supposed to, and there's no hierarchy to help you, have to use lots of imagination.
