Crossed eyes, also

Hi Marcia, thanks. Well, I know SDAI didn't just wake up one day and say, "hmm, waves! They're everywhere and, um, they're good!" Sometimes he loses me but read on I do, and particularly like the bit about the houses .. as we are in the process of buying one. I wish he'd tell me how to know if someone smart or talented lived there. It was owned by a padre .. does that mean we'll end up religious? Just kidding, but his ideas do facinate me in many ways, especially the positive side.

Speaking of people in the field, a friend of mine who works for AAFES just went over to Iraq for 6-mos to a year. She's located at the Baghdad Airport at work and living inside the "green zone". The tales both she and my son relate are really wild, everything from the horror of seeing that plane hit the other day, but safely landing; to a soldier shooting himself at a phone booth when his wife said she was getting a divorce (you don't hear that on tv); to actually caring for the wounded on the way to the German hospital; to flying into Iran after that earthquake. Then there are what I call the "human" stories of each of them actually meeting and talking to Iraqis on the streets of Iraq. I have tried to figure out how to use my information to counter Don sometimes, but haven't come up with anything yet.

Thank you for your good thoughts, Marcia. I do believe that whether we agree or disagree on what is going on politically, we must support our boys and girls over there. They are there for all of us.

Betsy
