Tell ya what...if Kerry manages to get all the way through this campaign without using upsetting Vietnam footage, I'll get back to you. Like I said before, 9/11 and how Bush handled it is a lot more relevant to this campaign than Vietnam is.
The modern Democratic Party doesn't wear patriotism very comfortably, and it irritates the hell out of them when Bush appeals to it. It was the same with Reagan. I'm sure reminding America that we were attacked is also annoying to the Democrats, especially if people start to remember which party's supporters were implying that we had it coming.
