"Tell ya what...if Kerry manages to get all the way through this campaign without using upsetting Vietnam footage, I'll get back to you. "
Like it or not, Kerry fought in that war. He has earned that right to barrage us with reminders of that. I would prefer he didn't and I don't think it will be a 'winning' tactic- but its an apples and oranges comparison. If Bush was one of those fire-fighters or was even in new york when it happened- then this would be a different story and you would not hear me complaining.
"The modern Democratic Party doesn't wear patriotism very comfortably, and it irritates the hell out of them when Bush appeals to it. It was the same with Reagan. I'm sure reminding America that we were attacked is also annoying to the Democrats,"
How is this about the Democratic party? In what way does this bear on the statement: "The imagery and use of 9-11 in this campaign add was offensive and in poor taste.". It doesn't at all. Funny that.
If all your arguments boil down to: "bu-bu-bu-but they are BADBADBADBADBAD people mo-mo-momy!" then you have nothing to say and your responses to this issue are simply partisan, predictable and poorly considered.
