Going to a public place to vote could be construed as defiance. It's identified and could possibly be a target.
Allowing a criminal organization to influence your vote is not defiance.
If you were going to vote for Bush anyway, then just vote for him. There are reasons to do that.
If you were not going to vote for him, then vote the way you are inclined, without regard for what terrorists are doing.
They can only kill us. We can allow ourselves to be intimidated by them, and thus yield our freedom to them.
We can dismantle our open society and make ourselves more like them. We can tell the world we are voting in response to their actions. We can give them power and influence.
Or we can vote based on our opinions of the candidates, not on what we think terrorists might want or approve of.
Mosquitoes carry malaria and yellow fever, which can kill indiscriminantly, but at the end of the day, they are only mosquitoes. Make sure not to be overly distracted by the buzz.
