Then the Spanish people saw their government lead them into that war, and now they're taking casualties.

Since 90% of them didn't want the war, they could well hold the casualties against the government.

And vote that government out of office.

And that seems to piss off conservatives - democracy in action.

And I don't think it should. I think people should respect the honest desires of the electorate in a democracy. I'm sure you do to, or will when you get over some people repudiating your "war".
