Which I see will finally be served. Good.
Clarke was on TV being interviewed, sure. He was also giving sworn testimony, and being accused of perjury, if you please. Perjury is a felony.
To judge whether Clarke has uttered any actual contradictions in his testimony -- not whether he spun something depending on his employment status -- we will have to see what he said. Both times. You may care what someone says he remembers about testimony given two years ago, let alone someone with an ax to grind. The law doesn't give a rip when there's a transcription of his words available for comparison.
Yes, I know what a political weapon is. It's going on national television and telling everyone who will listen that the sworn testimony of a former colleague is a lie, for which he can be prosecuted, to save one's boss's political ass, and not having to worry about whether one's own remarks will be held to the same standards. Those standards will now be equal, thank you.
Four hours of testimony in front of a commission that are not under oath count approximately as much as four hours of television interviews, except you don't get to call your questioner by his or her first name.

It counts because she can say whatever she pleases unless she's under oath. Clarke was under oath. Sauce for the goose...

- The Administration, it has been alleged by a credible source, was too busy being not-Clinton on the terrorism front to notice that people the FBI knew were al-Qaida were in the country.
