No, they don't send people in to blow themselves up at wedding receptions. They only take away property and water rights, destroy homes, shoot prisoners without the benefit of trial (Sharon again)... Strangely, there are many people who believe that war crimes should be prosecuted even when the alleged criminals are Israelis. I'd be willing to bet that there are Israelis among those who believe that.
I'm not saying that murder is justified. I'm saying that there are two standards when judging what is murder and what is not. I'm also saying that theft is not justified, either. Even if God did give Palestine to the Jews in the dim distant past.
Some people say that the mob in Boston overreacted too. I agree with them. Yet we call the mob "patriots" and we call the event "The Boston Massacre".
Sharon knew what he did. It doesn't matter that he was not in power; his presence is power enough. He's a political figure with great meaning to both sides of this war, and he is walking around free after the things he did in Lebanon and elsewhere. What he did was just as provocative, more so, than a bunch of British soldiers standing guard in a Boston street.
Arafat doesn't want peace, but neither does Sharon. Both want the obliteration of the other's people. It would be poetic justice if we let them obliterate each other, personally, as a symbolic sacrifice.

Hold the Israelis responsible for what they have done since the Yom Kippur war as well.
