For you and alcaray's post below.

List of top 200

As you'll notice, Halliburton is #21 on the list. If you were to do a search on (let say) the top 25 you would find quite a few ex-government officials on their board of directors. It's common practice for companies that bid for government contracts to recruit ex and/or possibly future officials for lobbying, contacts or just for their expertise.
Can this lead to possible suspicion? Yes? Does it make it wrong? In my opinion, no. In a capitalist society, you can't blame a company for trying to use whatever resources are available as long as it doesn't violate federal/state law or the rules of the SEC.

Now Bowser, back to your question. No, the war isn't the only contract Halliburton has with the government. But so does quite a few of the other companies on the list above. Hell, the company I work for has a least three contracts with the government. So does a company having multiple contracts with the government constitute favoritism, no. If that company has the expertise, why go somewhere else.

The liberal media and Democrats have trying to find anything they could that would descredit Bush and Co. Halliburton was a easy target because of Chaney. But according to the rules of government contract awards, they have done nothing wrong.
