Gotta remember to follow the "food chain," so to speak, all the way down :-)
I think Tom is building a pretty good case regarding media bias, though. The press conference he makes reference to is a case in point. When I first heard about it, I thought it was going to be major trouble for the Kerry campaign, but it's just not being related to the public by the gate-keepers of the media.
There's only one thing I'd like more than for Kerry to turn out to be a stellar candidate, and that's to know the truth about who he is. It's going to be really difficult to get a sense of who this man is if the media is hesitant to be objective and critical.
It's a challenge trying to reconcile alcaray's point with Tom's, though. If the media ultimately dishes up what the public wants (and I buy that...this is capitalism and media companies have to make payroll too), then what does that mean, if it can be demonstrated that the media in general is left-leaning?
