Nick, nothing in the first like you cited said anything about prison abuse
and was all circumstancial evidence
Raoul, Bowser, how is it Rumsfelds fault? (and it you want to use the 'buck has to stop somehwere" argument, then you shoudl be calling for Bush to resign.) Every US soldier is required to get a briefing on the geneva conventions. This is the responsibility of his command; that is the officers in charge of the unit.
I talked to a few officers I know and they were all dumbfounded at how it could have happened that they were not briefed. I suspect it may have to do with it being a reserve unit. In any case Rumsfeld, being lightyears away from that echelon, had fullfilled his duty. If CPT Snuffy deploys his company and just pencil whips the geneva convention briefing, its not soemthing you fire Rumsfeld over, its something you fire the CPT over.
Again it makes me sick that you are not trying to hold those who committed this act accountable, rather, you think "wow, maybe we could score politiko points, kick rumsfeld out of office, that would look pretty bad for bush to get his Secretary of Defense to resign."
and just because you pretend your arguments aren't transparent doesn't make them any less so.
