You really think the world is just having a case of the vapors over the despicable acts committed at Abu Ghraib on Bush's watch?
Actually, it's worse. It's not vapors. It's politics and raw hypocrisy. If the "world" was at all consistent in its moral indignation, we would not have had dead silence* over many atrocities against Americans and Iraqis from many of the same nations and organizations currently hyperventilating over the prison case.
I have more respect for some few organizations, like Human Rights Watch, which though in political opposition to America in many ways, at least tries to deal with all human rights violations, and not just those committed by the United States and Israel.

- Responsibility for abuse goes in a direct line down from, and up to, Rumsfeld.
- Nothing exposes how shallow your concern is like blaming this outrage on Rumsfeld (n/t)
