There never was a 'plan'... I said from the start that if Bush presented a space plan I might vote for him- instead what he presented was pretty words with NOTHING REPEAT _NOT ONE DAMN THING_ BACKING them up... he proposed a short term scale back of our space efforts with the empty promise of grand things (all of the grand things would take place LONG after his second term is over) - He had no plan to fund these things and NEVER made any effort to get the funding....

So yeah, a lot of us pointed out that he was just blowing smoke- republicans pointed this out too... so instead of whining that we pointed out that he was bullshitting us, get angry about the FACT that he WAS bullshitting us- using a SERIOUS topic to get a few points and then ignoring it....

From the start it was obvious that this wasnt a serious issue for him.... just a political game-
